REPORT ON THE FIVE-DAY ZOHO BOOKS TRAINING PROGRAM AND VALEDICTORY CEREMONY

      The Placement Cell, Career Guidance Cell, and CPAC IAS Academy of Cardamom Planters’ Association College, Bodinayakanur, jointly organized a five-day hands-on training program on “Zoho Books” from 15th to 19th September 2025. The objective of this program was to equip students with practical skills in cloud-based accounting and financial management, thereby enhancing their employability and career readiness in the digital era.

       During the five days, participants gained in-depth knowledge of Zoho’s financial tools, including modules on accounting fundamentals, GST management, invoice preparation, report generation, and business analytics. The sessions were interactive and practice-oriented, allowing students to perform real-time exercises under expert guidance.

        The resource persons were Mr. Hari V, Zoho Finance Partner, GoBisz Solutions, and Mr. Sushil M. Ravani, Lead – Training Institute Program, Zoho Finance (Zoho Books). Their sessions provided valuable insights into the applications of Zoho Books for small and medium enterprises and introduced students to the evolving landscape of digital finance.

                                  Valedictory Ceremony

The Valedictory Ceremony of the Zoho Books Training Program was held on 19th September 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the college premises. The event commenced with the Tamil Thaai Vazhthu, followed by a Welcome Address and a detailed report on the training program by Mrs. M. Hemalatha, Assistant Professor of Economics and Coordinator of the Placement Cell.

The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. S. Sivakumar, Principal of CPA College, who highlighted the importance of industry-linked training programs and encouraged students to utilize such opportunities to strengthen their professional skills.

        The dignitaries Sri. S.V. Subramanian, Honorary President, Sri. S. Ramanathan, President, Sri. S.V.S. Gnanavel, Vice-President, and Sri. R. Purushothaman, Secretary and Correspondent, graced the event with their presence and support.

        The resource persons were honoured with mementos as a token of appreciation for their valuable contribution. This was followed by the certificate distribution ceremony, where students who successfully completed the five-day training program received their certificates.

     Selected participants shared their feedback, expressing gratitude for the enriching experience and the practical learning exposure that bridged the gap between academic knowledge and workplace application.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. S. Daniel, Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Assistant Coordinator of the Placement Cell. The ceremony ended with the National Anthem.

Conclusion

          The five-day Zoho Books Training Program proved to be an effective initiative that enhanced students’ technical competence in financial software and strengthened the college’s commitment to career-oriented learning. The success of this program reflects the collaborative effort of the management, faculty, and resource experts in guiding students toward professional excellence.
