Two days National Conference on Mathematical Modelling (NCOMM-2017) was organized by the PG & Research Department of Mathematics in the premises of Cardamom Planters' Association College, Bodinayakanur, Tamil Nadu on March 30-31, 2017.
About Department: Department of Mathematics was established in 1974. This foundational period marked the beginning of a commitment to fostering a deep understanding of mathematical principles and their applications.The Department of Mathematics continues to build on its legacy of excellence, striving to push the boundaries of mathematical knowledge and contribute meaningfully to both academic and practical domains. With a strong foundation in research, education, and community engagement, the department remains dedicated to advancing the field of mathematics and preparing future leaders in the discipline.
Objective: To provide an intellectual forum for exchange of knowledge and information in relation to latest developments in the field of Mathematics.
On the first day 7 Sessions were conducted which included Chief Guest Address, Two Key Note address and 2 Invited Talks and parallel session for paper reading and on the second day 6 sessions were conducted which included 4 Invited Talks and parallel paper reading sessions.

The conference was inaugurated with lamp lighting ceremony. The inaugural function was attended by Chief Guest Dr. A. Krishnamurthy, Professor Emirates, Cochin University of Science & Technology, Kerala, and Dr. G. Ganesan, Professor of Mathematics, Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamundhri, Andrapradesh with other eminent dignitaries as Sri. S. V. Subramanian, President, Cardamom Planters' Association College,
Mr. S. Ramanathan, Secretary & Correspondent, Cardamom Planters' Association College, Dr. M. Manoharan Principal-in- Charge, Cardamom Planters' Association College and Prof. R. Pandy, Head of the Department of Mathematics. The inaugural ceremony was preceded with the felicitation of honourable dignitaries.
Dr. M. Manoharan Principal-in-Charge, Cardamom Planters Association College had also graced the session by delivering welcome address speech.
In his speech, he thrown light on various research programs running in the College campus and its wider scope. He had also encouraged one and all present in the conference with his welcome address.
