On 16^th September 2019, the PG & Research Department of Commerce at C.P.A College, Bodinayakanur, hosted a guest lecture on "Trade and Commerce in Tamil Literature" in the New Seminar Hall. Funded by the college management, the event aimed to benefit both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with 86 participants in attendance.  The lecture was delivered by Dr.  P.Murugan, Associate Professor in the Department of Tamil at H.R.H.K College, Uthamapalayam. Dr. P. Murugan insightful presentation explored the historical and cultural aspects of trade and commerce as depicted in Tamil literature, providing students with a unique perspective on the integration of commerce within literary works. The event was coordinated by Dr. S. Balamurugan, Head and Assistant Professor of Commerce, and it successfully enriched the participants' understanding of the significant role of commerce in Tamil literary history.
