The Research Department of Computer Science at Cardamom Planters’ Association College, Bodinayakanur, is proud to host the Computer Club Inauguration along with an International Seminar titled “Exploring the Future: Practical Applications of IoT” on Thursday, 10th July 2025. This event aims to ignite curiosity and provide a global perspective on the rapidly evolving world of the Internet of Things (IoT), highlighting its transformative role in various industries.

The seminar will be graced by Dr. M. Mohamed Ashik, Ph.D., Senior Lecturer, School of Computing and Information Sciences, University of Technologies and Applied Sciences, Salalah, Oman. As the Resource Person, Dr. Ashik will share valuable insights into how IoT is being implemented across sectors such as healthcare, smart cities, agriculture, and industry. His address will focus on the practical aspects of IoT, its real-world benefits, and the challenges that lie ahead in integrating smart technologies into everyday systems.

The event also marks the official inauguration of the Computer Club, a platform designed to nurture the technical and creative talents of students. The club will serve as a hub for collaborative learning, innovation, and hands-on experimentation in emerging fields such as AI, cybersecurity, data science, and IoT.

The event will be held at the Subburaj Memorial A/C Hall within the college campus.
