Day 1 : 24.06.2019
Inaugural Function
The inaugural function was attended by Chief Guest Thiru Bharathi Krishnakumar, Director, Writer and Orator with other eminent dignitaries as Sri. S. V. Subramanian, President, Cardamom Planters’ Association College, Mr. P.V.Karuppiah, Vice President, Cardamom Planters’ Association College, Dr.T. Rajakumaran Principal-in-Charge, Cardamom Planters’ Association College and Prof. S. Poonkundran, Head of the Department of Mathematics, Dr.S.Sivakumar Coordinator, IQAC. The inaugural ceremony was preceded with the felicitation of honorable dignitaries.
Dr. T.Rajakumaran Principal-in-Charge, Cardamom Planters Association College had also graced the session by delivering welcome address speech. In his speech, he thrown light on various programs running in the College campus and its wider scope. He had also encouraged one and all present in the programme with his welcome address.
Dr. S. Sivakumar, Co - Ordinator began the session delivering introductory speech about the Programme in which he told the importance of Induction Programme with some relevant quotes.
Sri. S.V. Subramanian (Presiding the Inaugural Function), President Cardamom Planters Association College mentioned that the importance of transcending the knowledge of Arts and Science into application for the betterment of the society. Having given the warm welcome to the students, he appealed the students to utilize maximum resources at the most of their capacity for academic enhancement. He endowed the words of blessings for the inauguration of the functions.
The Hon’ble Chief Guest Thiru. Bharathi Krishnakumar, Director, Writer and Orator very nicely explained the vitality of Human Values and communication in general. The learners felt motivated to get cultured in the color of Higher education and more significantly he gave emphasis to attach values in professional and individual life.
Inaugural session was concluded by Dr. S. Poonkundran Head of the Department of Mathematics, who gave vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to everyone for being part of this grand gathering.
After lunch, department orientation conducted in respective departments to first year students. At end of the day (03.00 p.m. – 04.30 p.m.) Students are motivated to do some physical activities in our college ground and indoor stadium. A team of Professors headed by our Physical Director Dr. K. Siva, trained the students in various activities. In these activities all student were participate and enjoying whole session. This includes a daily routine of physical activity with games and sports including yoga in this SIP 2019 which will help them to develop team spirit.
Day 2 : 25.06.2019
The day was started lecture by eminent people session was started by Dr. R. Mohanasundaram, Former HOD of English, CPA College. Dr.S.Balamurugan, Head and Assistant Professor in Commerce gave welcome address, Dr.T. Rajakumaran Principal-in-Charge, presided over the function and delivered his presidential address. Finally, Dr.C.Palanivelrajan, Assistant Professor in English, has presented his vote of thanks.
After the lecture, Mentoring (Student aspirations , family expectations) session was started in respective departments. This session very much help to find students background to mentors. Mentoring helps students understand how their ambitions fit into graduate education, department life and career choices. And also mentors implies family responsibility to students.
After the session, literary activity were organized for students. The Department of English of Our College Headed by Prof. C. Muniyandi, leads literary activities would encompass reading, writing, debating and enacting a play.
After lunch, creative arts and culture programme was arranged to first year students. Our College Fine Arts Team headed by Dr. A. Maheswaran undertakes the students to involve in the cultural activities. Every student would choose one skill related to the arts whether visual arts of performing arts example are painting, dancing street play, music etc. This session very much helpful to new students adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution, help them build bonds with other students and faculty members, and expose them to a sense of larger purpose and self exploration. The day end with physical activities.
Day 3 : 26.06.2019
The day was started with guest lecture by Prof.R.Rajamanickam, General Secretary, All India People Science. Dr. C. Gopi, Head and Assistant Professor in Botany gave welcome address, Dr.T. Rajakumaran Principal-in-Charge, presided over the function and delivered his presidential address. Finally, Dr. S. Senthilkumar, Assistant Professor in Economics, has presented his vote of thanks.
Day 4 : 27.06.2019
The day was started with guest lecture by Sri.Marimuthu, Chief Educational Officer, Theni dt. Dr. A. Sujatha, Assistant Professor in Commerce gave welcome address, Dr.T. Rajakumaran Principal-in-Charge, presided over the function and delivered his presidential address. Finally, Dr. B. AnandPrasad, Assistant Professor in English, has presented his vote of thanks.
Day 5 : 28.06.2019
The day was started with guest lecture by R. Jagadeesh., B.Sc., FCA., FAFP, District Co-ordinator, Career Guidance Committee, Theni. Vice-President, Alumni Association CPA College, Bodinayakanur and Mr.Mohamed Sheik Ibrahim, Managing Trustee, AHM Trust, Dharmathupatti. Dr. T. Ramalakshmi, Assistant Professor in Commerce gave welcome address, Dr.T. Rajakumaran Principal-in-Charge, presided over the function and delivered his presidential address. Finally, Dr. C. Palanivelrajan, Assistant Professor in English, has presented his vote of thanks.
Day 6 : 01.07.2019
The day was started with guest lecture by Mrs. M. Stella Ibrahim, MSW, MA, PGDCHD, PG NGO Mgt, Director, AHM Trust Advisor, Woman Harassment, AHM Trust, B.Dharmathupatti, Bodinayakanur . Dr. S. Balamurugan, Head and Assistant Professor in Commerce gave welcome address, Dr.T. Rajakumaran Principal-in-Charge, presided over the function and delivered his presidential address. Finally, Dr. S. Senthilkumar, Assistant Professor in Economics, has presented his vote of thanks.
Students were familiarized with their department, Programme of study/laboratories/workshops /ICT facilities and other facilities. A team of Professor headed by Dr. G. Ravindiran organized a tour around the College Campus. Besides an orientation helping them differentiate between college life and school life along with career prospects offered by specific courses were informed.
Valedictory Function
The valedictory function was attended by Chief Guest Kavingar. T.Walking, Writer and Orator with other eminent dignitaries as Sri. S. V. He also asked students to think and understand that every day is a new opportunity and blessed day to reach their goals.. Dr. S. Sivakumar, Coordinator present report of SIP 2019. Next feedback from the students were collected and also knew about their views about the programme for the improvement in the next time. Finally the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. S. Poonkundran Head of the Department of Mathematics.
Day 7 : 02.07.2019
Ideal Village visit was organized for the students by the team of Professors headed by Dr. C. Manickaraj in different areas which involved various adopted villages including Kurangani, Kottagudi and Munthal. The aim of village visit was to create a helping attitude, interact with people, observe their way of living and understand the values and ethos of simple living, high thinking. Students also prepared reports including the problems of village life. This exposure was expecting the entrants to display an empathetic eye and to attach values for the development of self and thereby society at large.
