An TNSCST sponsored international conference on Resent trends in solar cells (ICRTSC-2023) organized by Department of Physics and PG and Research Department Chemistry of Cardamom Planters’ Association college, Bodinayakanur.
ICRTSC – 2023 was held on January 12th 2023 from 10.00 am. This international conference inaugural address was delivered by Dr. N. Vasimalai from B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent University, Chennai. Dr. S. Sivakumar, Principal CPA College delivered the welcome address and Presidential address was given by Sri. S. V. Subramanian, President of CPA College. Conference theme was presented by Dr.G.Rajmohan, convener and conference processing was released by our vice-president Sri. S. Ramanathan M.A, Felicitation address of the conference was presented by Sri R. Purushotham M.A. B.Ed., The inaugural function was concluded with vote of thanks which was delivered by Prof. R. Kumarajaran, Head and Associate Professor, in presence of managing committee members and patrons of this conference.
The first technical session was started on 11.30 am with 150 audience. In this session Dr. N. Vasimalai delivered a talk about recent development and future advancements in sustainable solar energy technology this session was very interactive for graduate and also for research students.
After lunch break technical session –II was proceeded by Dr.P. Sathish Kumar from Daegu Gyeonbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST), South Korea about energy storage application in solar cells which is informative for Research peoples.
The first day ICRTSC 2023-conference was concluded with Technical session-III. Dr. K. Sakthipandi from SRM-Trichy campus has given a brief talk about perovskite solar cell and its modern application for energy storage. The oral and poster papers are presented by research scholars and students from various university.
2nd day conference on 13th January 2023, the technical session IV was presented Dr. C. Gopinathan from Madurai kamaraj University, he explained about the solar cell application in day today life. The students are more eager to listen his lecture.
An overview of principle, construction and demonstration of dye sensitized solar cells entitled topic was presented by Dr. M. Jeyathinath from Madurai Kamaraj University. In this session live hand on demonstration was given to the conference participants in technical session V.
The last session of this international conference was about fabrication method and challenges of large area dye sensitized solar cell by Dr. G. Ramalingam from Alagappa University karaikudi. In his speech he encourage the research to make more innovation in solar field.
In the valedictory function the conference report was presented by Dr. S. Karthikarani and the valedictory address was presented by Dr. G. Ramalingam in the presence of president, Vice President, Principal, managing committee members and patrons of the conference. The conference was well ended with vote of thanks by Prof. R. Kumarajan Head and associated Professor of chemistry department.
