A one week online faculty development programme on “Teaching, Learning and Research” was organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in the premises of Cardamom Planters’ Association College, Bodinayakanur, Tamil Nadu from 28.04.2021 to 05.05.2021.

The objective of this FDP is to provide an overview of research methodology. Concept development of the researchers and faculty to define  research problem and framework. Help faculty and research scholar to formulate a research proposal. To cultivate a passion for teaching and learning.

In the first day (28.04.2021) of the programme The inaugural ceremony of the “One week online FDP on Teaching, Learning and Research” began with a prayer. Dr.R.Murugesan, Co-ordinator, IQAC formally welcomed all the dignitaries and participants. He mentioned about the significance of the programme. Dr.S.Sivakumar, Principal motivated the participants in his presidential address. Dr.K.Krishnan, Co-ordinator, NAAC presented the theme of this FDP and  throws the light on the importance of teaching learning and research to the participants. Dr. T. Kathirvalavakumar,  Associate Professor & Head, Research Centre in Computer Science, V.H.N.S.N. College (Autonomous), Virudhunagar  gave the keynote presentation on  “Research ethics”.

In the second day (29.04.2021), welcome address delivered by Dr. A. Maheswaran, Head & Associate Professor in Mathematics. Dr. C. Elango, Former Associate Professor of Mathematics, C.P.A. College, Bodinayakanur gave the keynote presentation on "Research Journey Toward Patent".

In the third day (30.04.2021), welcome address delivered by Prof. R. Kumararajan, Head & Associate Professor in Chemistry. Dr. Andivelu Ilangovan, Professor, School of Chemistry, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli delivered a keynote address on “Drug discovery”.

In the fourth day (30.04.2021), welcome address delivered by Dr. C. Muniyandi, Head & Associate Professor in English. Dr. R. Mohanasundaram, former Head and Associate Professor of English at C.P.A. College in Bodinayakanur, delivered the keynote talk "Learning is Pleasure."

Dr. K. Krishnan, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, gave the welcoming address on the fifth day (03.05.2021). A keynote presentation on "Stress management" was given by Dr.M.Pitchaimani, Director and Head, Ramanujan Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, University of Madras, Chennai.

In the sixth day (04.05.2021),  welcome address delivered by Dr. S. Balamurugan, Vice-Principal & Head, Assistant Professor in Commerce. Dr. M. Manoharan, Former Principal & HOD of Commerce, C.P.A. College, Bodinayakanur delivered a keynote address on “Research methodology in social science”.

In the seventh day (05.05.2021), welcome address delivered by Dr. S. Balamurugan, Vice-Principal & Head, Assistant Professor in Commerce. The keynote lecture was presented by Dr. S. Krishnamoorthy, Principal, Sri Kaliswari College, Sivakasi, on "COVID-19: Impact on the Indian Economy".

A total of 77 faculties participated in this FDP. IQAC Co-ordinator presented the report of one week online FDP on Teaching, Learning and Research.  Feedbacks from the participants were collected and also knew about their views and suggestions for the improvement about the programme. E-certificates were distributed to all  the participants.  This Faculty Development Program (FDP) achieves its primary goals. All of the sessions were really informative and stunning.
