A Three days faculty development programme on “E-content Development” was organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in the premises of Cardamom Planters’ Association College, Bodinayakanur, Tamil Nadu on July 6-8, 2020.

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic, FDP was organized online through  google meet platform. In the FDP, 99 professors participated from various colleges.

This FDP on E-content development provides a platform for learning the skills and strategies required for digital teaching, designing, developing and learning resources. Its goal is to provide teachers with the knowledge and abilities they need to respond to present day learners and their learning styles.

Dr. S. Sivakumar, the Principal, delivered a welcome address to commence the programme. Dr. K. Krishnan, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, presented the FDP theme. Mrs.K.Nithyanandakumari, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, gave an introduction to the speaker.

The resource person Mr. A. Vimal Jerald, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli, covered the following topics with a demo: Online teaching and learning, Google class room, Google form, Certify'em, Google sites, Edmodo (Moodle), Content Management System, e-content making methods, Screen cast software.

The participants learned about various aspects of digital teaching, including designing, planning, and delivering high-quality e-content for teaching-learning, as well as the appropriate developmental tools required to create e-content in their respective disciplines using text, images, audio, and video. The quality of audio and video content created by some of the participants and reviewed by the resource person.

Finally, Dr. R. Murugesan, Associate Professor of Computer Science gave the vote of thanks.
