One day State level Webinar on the theme of “CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES IN INDIA” was organinsed by the PG and Research Department of Commerce, on 16^th April, 2021 at 10.00 am in the Department of Commerce, Cardamom Planters’ Association College, Bodinayakanur, in which students from our college and staff members have participated. 72 members were present in this meeting.

Dr. S. Balamurugan, Vice-Principal, Head of the Department of Commerce & Convenor of the programme welcomed the gathering and G.Thangadurai, Organising Secretary and Assistant professor of Commerce, introduced the chief guest to the gatherings. Dr. V. Alagupandian, Assistant Professor, Institute of co-operative studies acted as the guest speaker.

The Seminar provided knowledge on co-operative societies to the participants. Dr.S.Sivakumar, Principal (i/c) of CPA College presided over the function and delivered presidential address.

Dr. V. Alagupandian, in his key note address highlighted about credit co-operative societies, non credit co-operative societies, functioning of co-operative societies in India, role of Co-operative societies in the development of members and other relevant things.

The concluding session of the seminar resolved the doubts and queries of gatherings by our chief guest. Finally, Dr. A. Sujatha, Assistant Professor of Commerce proposed vote of thanks.
