The Department of Economics, CPA College, Bodinayakanur, organized a guest lecture on the topic "Career Opportunities and Strategies in Event Management" on 27th September 2024. The session took place at the A.S. Subburaj Memorial Hall and was attended by students, faculty, and other dignitaries.
         Dr. S. Senthil Kumar,  Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Economics, CPA College, warmly welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person, Mr. Ganeshan Karuppiah, Managing Director of PKG Groups, Chennai & Coimbatore.
        The Presidential Address was delivered by Mr. Immamudhin, Director, CPAC, who emphasized the importance of understanding the diverse career paths available to students and how event management plays a crucial role in various industries.
         Dr. S. Sivakumar, Principal of CPA College, in his felicitation address, highlighted the growing demand for skilled professionals in the event management sector and encouraged students to explore this dynamic field as a viable career option.
         The resource person, Mr. Ganeshan Karuppiah, B.Sc., B.E., M.B.A., Managing Director of PKG Groups, shared his vast experience in the event management industry. He spoke extensively on various career opportunities, strategies for success, and the necessary skills to thrive in the industry. He also provided insights into the operational, logistical, and creative aspects of event management.
         The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. D. Hema, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, CPA College, who expressed gratitude to the guest speaker, dignitaries, and attendees for making the event a success.

         The lecture was highly informative and provided students with valuable insights into the lucrative field of event management.
