“SCENARIO OF INDIAN AGRICULTURE”.
        The Guest Lecture was organized by the Department of Economics, Cardamom Planters’ Association College, Bodinayakanur, on 20.10.2022. The objective of the event was to enhance the students’ knowledge about the “SCENARIO OF INDIAN AGRICULTURE”.    
        The session started with a prayer song and Dr. S. SENTHIL KUMAR, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Economics, welcomed the gathering. The Principal (i/c), Dr. S. SIVAKUMAR, delivered the Presidential Address. And the VicePrincipal, Dr. S. BALAMURUGAN, Felicitated the gathering.   
        The Hon’ble Guest of Honour Dr. S. KARTHIKEYAN, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics and Centre for Research in Economics, The Madura College (Autonomous), Madurai, delivered the Keynote Address on the topic “SCENARIO OF INDIAN AGRICULTURE”.”    
     He emphasized the agricultural resources of India and its agrarian structure followed by the milestones in farm development and recent trends in agriculture. He concluded with the Tech Trends in Agriculture Sector which includes weather tracking, water sensors, crop sensors for agriculture, Abbotts (Agricultural Robots), Animal Tracking, Vertical Farming, and so on. The session was indeed interactive and fruitful, which highlighted the components of Agriculture.
