Research Promotion Policy

C.P.A. College is dedicated to fostering a research-driven culture by enhancing research facilities, supporting collaborations, and recognizing faculty and student research contributions.

Objectives:
  • Generate and provide research resources.
  • Enhance research capabilities, collaborations, and output.
  • Promote ethical research practices within the college.
  • Create an environment conducive to research, outreach, and knowledge generation.
Implementation:
  • Resource Provision: Secure funding from state and central agencies to enhance research infrastructure. Subsidized access to college research labs is provided to faculty and scholars. Support is available for patent applications and research projects.
  • Research Support: Faculty may receive partial cost coverage for attending Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), seminars, and conferences.
  • Capability Development: Faculty are encouraged to publish, present, secure funding, engage in collaborations, and assume editorial or consultancy roles as long as these do not impact teaching duties.

Plagiarism Check Policy

C.P.A. College values academic integrity, adhering to the standards set by Madurai Kamaraj University, which mandates plagiarism checks via Turnitin for Ph.D. submissions. Ethical research is essential to uphold the college's academic reputation.


Research Ethics Policy

Ethics are fundamental to trustworthy research, fostering transparency, and quality. The policy provides guidance on ethical research conduct.

Objectives:
  • Ensure all research follows ethical protocols and complies with legal standards.
  • Provide a framework for conflict-free collaborative work.
  • Define the roles of mentors and mentees to ensure accountability and guidance.
Research & Development Cell (RDC) Composition:
  • Chairperson: College Principal
  • Director: Senior faculty member (Principal-nominated)
  • Members: At least five research guides, representing both Science and Arts.
Subcommittees of RDC composition:
  • Finance & Infrastructure
  • Research Program, Policy Development
  • Collaboration & Community
  • Product Development, Monitoring, and Commercialization
  • IPR, Legal & Ethical Matters

Consultancy Policy

Consultancy encourages knowledge exchange, offering a framework for faculty to engage in consultative contracts with various agencies. This policy ensures consultancy aligns with C.P.A. College’s mission and vision, while also contributing to research and knowledge dissemination.
